Problem Solving and Decision Making
Modern management accepts the need to blend intuition and creativity with scientific methods of arriving at decisions designed to reduce if not to eliminate organizational problems. Using the potentials of the mind to create ideas, concepts and visions particularly in uncharted territories or when faced with non-programmed decisions is indeed a challenge. However, using solely one’s common sense, experience or even solicited judgment when rendering non-programmed decisions can be limiting without the aid of a problem-solving and decision-making process. The training is a two-day workshop designed to present and provide the participants with an appreciation, the skills and the discipline to use a creative but systematic and organized method of solving organizational problems at team level. It is a learner – controlled skills development- based workshop that espouses the seven-step problem solving process.
